LEARN WITH A LAWYER - WHAT YOU THINK BECOMES WHAT YOU BELIEVE

Lauren Fields Nov. 30, 2020

Your thoughts become what you are. What you think becomes what you believe. This is especially true in family law litigation. You can assume the absolute worst about your ex-spouse or your ex-partner because you’re angry with them. Sometimes this can lead to cheating allegations when that never happened. Sometimes this can lead to allegations of substance abuse problems. While the facts do matter assuming the worst in all people sometimes can harm your case, especially if your allegations are found out to be unsubstantiated. Remember to keep the facts in mind before you start making allegations. Just because you believe them doesn’t necessarily mean that they exist.
