CRASH ALERT: TWO INJURED IN OLATHE SEMI-TRACTOR CRASH

KANSAS CITY, MO - A two-truck accident left two injured last Tuesday morning. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the police were alerted to the crash at around 11:11 a.m. on July 14th.

A 2019 International semi-tractor was traveling eastbound on Kansas 10 near Kansas 7 when the driver, 30-year-old Derek Darnell, crashed into the back of the 2001 Peterbilt in front of him. The struck semi-tractor, driven by 66-year-old Dennis Petty, was significantly damaged from the impact.

Darnell sustained minor injuries in the crash. Emergency responders on the scene transported him to Overland Park Regional for treatment. Petty complained of pain, but his injuries were not immediately apparent.
