CRASH ALERT: MOTORIST KILLED BY SEMI WHILE STANDING ON RTE 7 SHOULDER

CLINTON, MO - A man was killed when he was struck by a semi truck while standing outside his vehicle early Saturday morning, KSHB reports.

The incident happened at about 4 a.m. on Missouri Route 7, west of its intersection with Missouri Route 13, on the north side of Clinton in Henry County.

The Missouri Highway Patrol reports that the driver had pulled onto the shoulder and was standing next to his vehicle's open driver's side door when he was hit by a passing semi truck. He died at the scene.

He has since been identified as Raymond Conners, 49.
