Crash Alert: KC Pet Project van involved in hit-and-run accident

KANSAS CITY, MO - A KC Pet Project van was struck by a hit-and-run driver yesterday afternoon in south Kansas City. According to KCTV 5, the incident occurred on Highway 71 and 59th Street at around 1 p.m.

The KC Pet Project van was traveling on Highway 71 and transporting seven dogs to the Zona Rosa Adoption Center when another vehicle ran a red light and collided with it. The car drove away without stopping.

Neither the driver nor the seven dogs were injured in the collision.
