CRASH ALERT: PEDESTRIAN SERIOUSLY INJURED IN EAST KC COLLISION

KANSAS CITY, MO - A pedestrian was seriously injured Saturday night when he was struck by a Honda Civic on E Winner Road near Booth Avenue, KSHB reportsed this morning.

The collision occurred at about 9:20 p.m. on June 13. The driver told police that he did not see the pedestrian before the collision, and was surprised when something struck his windshield. He stopped when he realized he'd hit a person.

A witness told police that she observed the Honda—which had not been speeding—suddenly slam on its breaks, then a man appear beneath the chasis. She also did not notice the pedestrian prior to the crash.

The pedestrian was seriously injured in the collision. Both the driver and a passenger received cuts from the broken windshield.
