CRASH ALERT: MOTORCYCLIST SERIOUSLY INJURED IN I-670 COLLISION

KANSAS CITY, MO - A motorcyclist was severely injured when their vehicle crashed into the back of an SUV Saturday afternoon, in a collision that shut down traffic on I-670 for at least an hour.

Fox 4 reports that the accident occurred beneath the Grand Boulevard overpass shortly before 1:40 p.m. The motorcyclist was traveling eastbound and failed to notice that the SUV in front of them had slowed due to congestion, crashing into its rear end.

Emergency responders closed the eastbound lanes as they cleared the accident. Nearby I-35 exits were also closed.

The motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital and was listed in critical condition as of press time. No other injuries were reported.
