KANSAS CITY PEDESTRIAN CRITICALLY INJURED AFTER BEING HIT BY TWO DIFFERENT VEHICLES

Roth Davies, LLC Media May 6, 2020

KANSAS CITY, MO - A pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by two different vehicles on Thursday evening. The victim was first struck by a silver Volkswagon Beetle traveling westbound on Independence Avenue. The driver of the Volkswagon briefly stopped to check the vehicle before driving northbound on Oakley Avenue.

Shortly after the hit-and-run, a gold Honda CRV struck the injured pedestrian, dragging the individual under the vehicle. The driver of the Honda pulled over the car and alerted Kansas City Police to the accident.

Emergency responders arrived on the scene at around 10 p.m. and found the pedestrian critically injured, but alive. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Kansas City Police are currently investigating the incident and looking for the driver of the silver Volkswagon Beetle. Our team will continue to monitor the situation and update this story if new information becomes available.
