CRASH ALERT: WOMAN KILLED AFTER SEMI-TRUCK REAR-ENDS HER IN PLATTE CITY

Roth Davies, LLC Media Nov. 16, 2020

PLATTE CITY, MO - A 31-year-old woman was killed in a multi-vehicle accident on Friday night. According to KSIS Radio, the deadly crash occurred on southbound Interstate 29 near Platte Falls Conservation Area at around 8:30 p.m.

31-year-old Arriana J. Shupert was traveling southbound in her 2020 Mini Cooper when she and the other cars around her slowed because of an accident up ahead. As Shupert slowed down, a Freightliner semi-truck, driven by 27-year-old Patrick Love, rear-ended her.

The impact of the rear-end accident pushed the Mini Cooper into a 2016 Jeep in front of her. That Jeep then crashed into a 2020 Tesla, which then rear-ended a 2009 Cadillac.

Shupert was transported to Mosaic Life Care for treatment. She died early Saturday morning from her injuries.

No other injuries were reported in the chain-reaction crash.
