CRASH ALERT: ONE PERSON INJURED IN HIT-AND-RUN ACCIDENT IN WEST KANSAS CITY

KANSAS CITY, KS - One person was injured in a hit-and-run accident this morning in West Kansas City. The Kansas Highway Patrol reported that the collision happened on Interstate 70 and 118th Street at around 7:30 a.m.

A 2015 Altima, a 2015 semi-truck, and a third unknown vehicle were all traveling westbound on I-70 when the unknown vehicle switched lanes and veered into the Altima's path. The Altima then turned into the semi-truck, spun out, and crashed off the roadway. The unknown vehicle fled the scene.

Anya Mitchell, the driver of the Altima, suffered unknown minor injuries in the collision. Her vehicle was severely damaged and had to be towed from the scene.

No details on the suspected third vehicle have been released at this time.
