CRASH ALERT: BOX TRUCK DRIVER DIES AFTER CRASHING INTO SEMI-TRUCK ON I-435

KANSAS CITY, MO - A GMC box truck driver was killed this morning in Kansas City after he rear-ended a semi-truck on northbound I-435 near Front Street. Kansas City Police say that the crash occurred at around 8:00 a.m. in the construction zone for the rehabilitation project for the I-435 Missouri River Bridge.EYn-i-hXgAIgdQW.png

According to the Kansas City Star, the semi-truck was traveling northbound through the work zone when it was rear-ended by a box truck. The driver of the box truck was declared dead at the scene of the accident. The semi-truck driver was uninjured in the collision. Police closed down that area of the highway for about two hours for investigation and cleanup. No further information has been released at this time.
