5-YEAR-OLD BOY CRITICALLY INJURED AFTER BEING HIT BY A TRUCK

KANSAS CITY, MO - A five-year-old boy was critically injured after being hit by a truck on Sunday evening. Kansas City Police were alerted to the situation at around 5:30 p.m. and arrived quickly on the scene at the intersection of Morrell Avenue and Monroe Avenue.

KSHB reports that the young boy had been walking on the sidewalk when he ran out into the street for unknown reasons. A grey Dodge Ram driving eastbound on Morrell Avenue struck the boy, who was dragged under the front of the vehicle.

An ambulance transported the victim to a nearby hospital for treatment. The driver of the truck was uninjured in the accident.
