TEEN SKATEBOARDER CRITICALLY INJURED AFTER BEING HIT BY A VEHICLE

KANSAS CITY, MO - A 16-year-old skateboarder was critically injured Sunday night when he was hit by a vehicle in Kansas City's Northland. According to the Kansas City Star, the teenager was skating around Northwest 61st Street and Northwest Prairie View Road at around 10:15 p.m. when he was struck by a white Buick Century heading south on Prairie View.

Officers from the Kansas City Police Department were on the scene. Police confirm that the teenage boy suffered severe injuries in the accident. An ambulance transported the victim to a nearby hospital for treatment. The driver of the Buick was uninjured in the crash.
