CRASH ALERT: AT LEAST TWO PEOPLE INJURED IN HEAD-ON CRASH IN NE KANSAS CITY

KANSAS CITY, MO - At least two people were injured in a head-on crash in Northeast Kansas City on Saturday night. KMBC News reported that the accident happened on Chouteau Trafficway and Belmont Avenue near James Elementary School at around 11:30 p.m.

A blue SUV crossed the centerline and crashed head-on into a silver car. Three children in the SUV were not wearing a seatbelt when the accident occurred. It's unclear if the children were injured, but we can confirm that a family member took them to an area hospital for examination.

The driver and passenger of the silver vehicle were also not wearing a seatbelt and suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash. Emergency responders transported them to a nearby hospital for treatment.
